Journey with us this winter up through the Hibiscus Coast to the Bay of Islands and the untouched region of Northland, rich in culture, tradition and blessed with breath-taking coastal views, native landscape and rolling countryside.

Whilst touring these beautiful regions from east coast to west coast we stop at the Whangaparaoa Peninsula, take in the Waiomio Glowworm Caves, before spending four lovely days in Russell, our base in the Bay of Islands, with time spent exploring the Waitangi Treaty Grounds, the historic Stone Store & Kemp House in Kerikeri, the Ake Ake Winery and the Te Waimate Mission “Old Church.

Continuing on from east to west, at Omapere we visit Manea – Footprints of Kupe Experience before letting our senses loose in the mystical atmosphere during our evening stroll into the Waipoua Forest to view the magnificent Tane Mahuta. South bound we tour the award-winning Kauri Museum in Matakohe, the lovely small city of Whangarei with its river side town basin and the quaint village of Waipu with its strong Scottish heritage.

On our return to the Waikato, be inspired by the impressive Hamilton Gardens, before we travel towards the centre of the North Island enjoying the backdrop of the volcanoes of Ruapehu, Tongariro and Ngauruhoe dominating the landscape and majestic views from the Sky Waka Gondola.
