A TASTE OF CAMBODIA & VIETNAM
Our journey begins in Siem Reap, gateway to the Angkor region. We explore the Roluos Group —among the earliest temples of the Khmer Empire. Preah Ko is known for its intricate carvings, Bakong for its early “temple mountain” design, and Lolei for its unique island setting—offering insight into early Khmer engineering and belief systems.
We then take in the Angkor Complex , from the serene faces of Bayon to the terraces and royal enclosures of the ancient city, before arriving at Angkor Wat. Here, its intricate bas-reliefs and soaring towers are brought to life in the golden light of sunset—an unforgettable highlight.
From here, we travel to Hanoi, Vietnam’s captivating capital . Exploring the city by Jeep, we visit Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, his stilt house and the One Pillar Pagoda. In the afternoon, we venture beyond the usual sights into a maze of backstreets and alleyways, experiencing daily life through visiting local homes, markets and hidden corners. Taking in the delights of the Old Quarter, French Quarter, Hoan Kiem Lake, West Lake and the historic Long Bien Bridge.
Travelling south, we reach Hoa Lu, Vietnam’s ancient capital, visiting the Dinh and Le Temples. In nearby Van Long, we take a leisurely cycle through rice paddies and village landscapes, share a home-hosted lunch, and learn about wet rice cultivation before a tranquil cruise through dramatic limestone scenery.
Embark on a three day/two-night cruise through the breathtaking Ha Long Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site of emerald waters and dramatic limestone karsts, complete with exceptional onboard cuisine and experiences.
Our journey continues to the enchanting town of Hoi An, where lantern-lit streets and riverside life create a unique atmosphere. Here we cruise the Thu Bon River, take part in a lantern-making workshop , and explore the beautifully preserved Old Town.
In Ho Chi Minh City —Vietnam’s largest and most dynamic city—we stay at the elegant Silverland May Hotel, reflecting 1930s French Indochina charm. Visiting key landmarks including the Reunification Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral and Central Post Office, and gaining insight into the Vietnam War at the Cu Chi Tunnels and War Remnants Museum. Experience the city by Vespa (pillion), weaving through hidden alleyways and vibrant neighbourhoods to discover markets, temples and local life—an exhilarating and authentic highlight—before a memorable farewell dinner.
Be prepared to be captivated by the beauty, diversity and depth of experience that unfolds from the ancient wonders of Angkor to the waterways of Ha Long Bay, and from the charm of Hoi An to the energy of Saigon—an unforgettable journey through Vietnam and Cambodia.
