Travel has always played a major part of Peters life. He left England in his mid-30s taking up his first overseas posting in Bahrain as Head of a Training College for Hospitality and Tourism. Once on the ‘Tourism Industry’ conveyor belt, Peter, (like the rest of the YOURTravel team), hasn’t stepped off since. Peter met his Kiwi wife Tanya overseas, and together they worked and travelled in Europe, Arabia and the UAE before returning to Australasia and finally fulfilling their dream of running their own outbound travel and tours business here in Kapiti.
Peter has attained his certification award as an International Tour Director with the International Tour Manager Institute, and has also been awarded the Fellowship of the Institute of Hospitality for his service and contribution to the Industry. His days are now spent researching and developing our very own and admittedly very special intimate range of small group tours, and if you are lucky, he may even be joining you on a few of them.

Having a passion for adventure and discovering new destinations inspired Karen to work in the travel industry. Wellington born and bred along with having over 18 year’s customer service and management experience in both the private and public sectors, has provided Karen with the vast array of knowledge and skills required to lead both our office and client relationship team in a positive direction. Karen is big on relationships, collaboration and teamwork. Interfacing with clients daily and of course being based within a Travel & Tours working environment, located at the Beach in Paraparaumu, is just the icing on the cake.
After a long and respected career in hospitality and event management around the globe, Andrew settled back home in Kapiti to become a travel professional nearly 12 years ago.
Fortunate enough to have visited all 7 continents and over 90 countries, he is always eager to share his wealth of knowledge and experiences. Andrew was an Executive Chef, so when on tour he just loves finding opportunities to sample the local cuisines of the regions he is visiting. "Many of my most rewarding travel memories will involve a shared meal with fellow travellers, enjoying our new found friendship".
