Day1 B/D - DELHI You will be met at the airport & transferred to your hotel & while the hotel formalities are completed, there will be a traditional welcome with a Garland and Tilak. The rest of the day is a time to relax & unwind. Day2 B/D - DELHI A morning at leisure & n the afternoon you’ll visit the bazaars of Old Delhi, Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India and Raj Ghat, the Samadhi of Mahatma Gandhi.
Day3 B/D DELHI - VARANASI (overnight Train) Visit the sights of New Delhi including the Raj buildings of Lutyens and Baker, the Qutub Minar, built by the slave king Qutub-ud-din Aibak in the 12th century and Humayun's Tomb, an architectural precursor to the Taj Mahal. In the evening board an overnight train for Varanasi (Air-conditioned First Class Sleeper). Enjoy rural India from the train as you pass through small towns & villages.
Day4 B/D - VARANASI Arrive in the morning and transfer to the hotel. An afternoon excursion to Sarnath, the site of Buddha's first sermon. In the evening enjoy a rickshaw ride to the ceremonial aarti on the banks of the Ganges.
Day5 B/D - KHAJURAHO An early morning boat-ride on the Ganges to see devotees at prayer along the Ghats or riverbanks. Later fly to Khajuraho and transfer to the hotel. Evening enjoy the spectacular Light & Sound show at the Khajuraho Temples.
Day6 B/D - ORCHHA Visit the famous Chandela temples in Khajuraho in the morning. Built between 950 and 1050 AD, these are known for their Erotic sculpture. Afternoon drive to Orchha and stay at a Palace hotel.
Day7 B/D - ORCHHA & AGRA Dotted with temples and palaces of Bundela kings, Orchha is an ideal place to explore. Late afternoon board a train for Agra. Arrive in the evening and transfer to your.
Day8 B/D - AGRA Morning sightseeing includes the Taj Mahal (closed on Friday), the tomb of Itimad-ud-Daulah, and the Agra Fort. Afternoon free for you to enjoy at leisure.
Day9 B/D - AGRA & JAIPUR In the morning you’ll visit Fatehpur Sikri & after that you’ll transfer to Jaipur, where you’ll stay at another palace hotel, which was a royal mansion.
Day10 B/D - JAIPUR A morning excursion to the Amber Fort, with the possibility of ascending to the hilltop fort on elephant back. The afternoon sightseeing includes the Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar, City Palace, Museum, and colourful bazaars of Jaipur.
Day11 B/D & JAIPUR - NIMAJ Drive to the village of Nimaj and check into the charming Palace for the night.
Day12 B/D - NIMAJ & ROHET A short drive to Jodhpur to see the towering Meherangarh Fort & Jaswant Thada. Then on to Rohetgarh where you'll stay at yet another royal residence. Here you'll explore the village of Rohet while on a camel safari.
Day13 B/D- UDAIPUR This morning enjoy a village safari by jeep. Then on to Ranakpur to visit the beautiful Jain Temple. You will next be transferred to the romantic city of Udaipur.
Day14 B/D - UDAIPUR The morning is reserved for city sightseeing & this includes the City Palace, the largest palace complex in Rajasthan, Jagdish Temple and Sahelion-ki-Bari, a garden built for the Maids of Honour. The afternoon is at leisure. Day15 B/D - UDAUPUR & DELHI Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before you board an overnight train to Delhi (1st Class air-condition sleeper class).
Day16 - DELHI Arrive Delhi in the morning, where you’ll be transferred to Delhi airport for your onward flight.
